Self Paced Learning Guide – Creating, Scheduling & Completing Case Activities in Alert Stratus for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011
All labor time being entered against Cases are submitted using the standard Appointments and Service Activities from CRM, which have been extended in Alert Stratus to support billable and costed time. Alert Stratus has provided numerous methods for resources to be able to create activities and enter their time, parts, materials and expenses against Cases.
Activities can be created, managed and completed manually using the Activities entity within the Project – as seen in the video tutorial. It is a very effective method for creating activities for other resources, but it is the least common method for resources to enter their time and complete the activities.
The two simplest methods for entering time and completing activities for Cases is by using the Time Entry & Calendar Portal either from a computer or tablet device or by using the Microsoft Outlook integration.
