Content Marketing Specialist (Contract)

Fieldpoint Service Applications Inc. (www.fieldpoint.net) is one of Canada’s leading field service, project, and job costing software providers. With hundreds of customers and thousands of users, Fieldpoint specializes in supplying field service management software to various field service industries inclu& Life Safety, Electrical contractors.

We’re looking for a Marketing Content Specialist to join our growing Fieldpoint team! Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, you will be creating persuasive, high-frequency web content for all our digital platforms.

The Role:

  • Manage and execute weekly content marketing plans (that reflect our business strategies and objectives) to build our online branding and presence.
  • Create marketing collateral, case studies, press releases, customer stories, position papers, website content, whitepapers and weekly blog posts.
  • Editing, proofreading and updating existing marketing material and messaging.
  • Work collaboratively with the social media and communications team to develop the company’s digital footprint.

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in Content Marketing and Communications
  • Associate’s Degree or BA/BS in a related field, such as Journalism or Communications
  • Previous marketing experience in the software and technology space.
  • Some graphic design, video production/editing, Photoshop experience is an added asset.
  • Knowledge of software and languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, PHP) from a creative writing perspective
  • Someone with a detail-oriented personality, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization

Software Consultant

Fieldpoint Service Applications Inc. (www.fieldpoint.net) is one of Canada’s leading field service, project and job costing software providers. With hundreds of customers and thousands of users, Fieldpoint specializes in supplying field service management software to various field service industries including HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, Electrical contractors.

LOCATION: Oakville/Mississauga border – Avoid the city commute.

THE ROLE:

Fieldpoint has a number of customer implementations that require professional services specializing is design, development, configuration, and training services. We excel at inspiring team performance, managing risks, and delivering innovative service software solutions.

As a Software Consultant, you will analyze customer needs and participate in the design and architecture of business process solutions and assist customers in the installation, training, customization and deployment of the Fieldpoint Software solution both remotely via web conferences and on site as required.

Other responsibilities would include, writing SQL and .NET code, custom SSRS reports, providing high-level estimates for design and implementation efforts along with communicating status, issues, and impacts with relevant client sponsors and process owners.

Candidates for the position will be evaluated for suitability in terms of the following desirable skills:

  • University degree in Commerce/Business, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Possess at least three (3) years relevant experience as software consultant/developer
  • Be experienced in business process reengineering, preferably in CRM/ERP related projects
  • Have good functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft CRM, Financial Applications (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Control), Case Management, Help Desk, Field Service Systems or Job Costing Software would be an asset.
  • Solid experience in Business Process Analysis & Design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS
  • Proficiency in .NET and/or web programming languages, HTML5, Visual Studio,
  • Willing and able to travel within North America to carry out projects (up to 25%)

Full Stack Developer

Fieldpoint Service Applications Inc. (www.fieldpoint.net) is one of Canada’s leading field service, project and job costing software providers. With hundreds of customers and thousands of users, Fieldpoint specializes in supplying field service management software to various field service industries including HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, Electrical contractors.

LOCATION: Oakville/Mississauga border – Avoid the city commute.

THE ROLE:

As a member of our programming team and working with our professional services staff you will be primarily responsible for writing and testing new software modules using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Sencha ExtJS, T-SQL as well as maintaining existing code, assisting our services and support staff and developing custom workflows and reports.

Candidates for the position will be evaluated for suitability in terms of the following desirable skills:

University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Commerce/Business

Minimum 3 years experience developing business systems using the Microsoft.NET Framework, ADO.NET, C#, Visual Studio, RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server preferred), HTML5, jQuery, Sencha Ext JS framework 4+.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including past experience working directly with customers/end users. 

Experience in and knowledge of Microsoft CRM, Financial Applications (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger), Case Management, Help Desk, Field Service Systems or Project Management Software would be an asset.
